Pin Drop was born with a head full of vision, a handful of tools, and a determination only known by other entrepreneurs.
After twenty years as a licensed contractor, Tim Elinski was looking for a way to distill his talents…and a family road trip was on the calendar.
As avid outdoor enthusiasts, Ruth Ellen and Tim had long dreamed of a camper that could accompany the pair down whichever fork in the road tickled their fancy. With the departure date less than a week away, Tim got the notion to build what had been rolling around in his head for years: a nimble micro camper equipped with all things necessary for a great, comfortable outdoor experience.
Armed with an arsenal of tools, strong beer, stronger coffee, and a stereo loop of Oingo Boingo turned up to 10, Tim locked himself away in the confines of his shop to build what would become a prototype. He emerged, much to the surprise of his wife and two daughters, with a complete teardrop style camper trailer. Yes, the tear drop camper was a little coarse in appearance (as was he) but the prototype provided an amazing road trip to the northwest corner of Montana and back, and inspired the creation of a refined, superior travel trailer now branded Pin Drop Travel Trailers.
