Each Pin Drop trailer is equipped with two Victron SmartSolar MPPT solar charge controllers (one for the roof-top mounted panels and another for the solar suitcase), which harvests energy from the sun with impressive efficiency—even on cloudy days. Coupled with the massive Dakota Lithium 320 amp/hour lithium iron phosphate battery bank, and managed by the Victron Smart Battery Monitor (BMV or SmartShunt), the system gives campers real-time insight into their energy use and storage levels.
A Victron Multi-Plus Inverter/Charger provides reliable AC power for small appliances up to 2000 watts, and can quickly recharge/maintain your battery with the provided shore power port on the side of the PinDrop tongue box. The system is quiet, compact, and powerful—everything a minimalist, go-anywhere camper needs.
Monitor and Manage from Anywhere
With the VictronConnect app, owners can monitor and manage their trailer’s power system right from a smartphone or tablet. The Bluetooth-enabled components let users check battery status, solar input, and power usage on the go—no need to open an electrical cabinet or guess how much energy is left.
