Eucalyptus Wash: On the Salt River in the Tonto National Forest, Eucalyptus Wash is great for water recreation and wildlife viewing. Sawmill Flats: Breathtaking views from your campsite are a guarantee at this stunning spot. It's usually fairly secluded, making for a perfectly quiet retreat. Due to the elevation, this spot can get a little chilly in the winter months, so pack accordingly. This primitive yet scenic area is well-equipped for mountain biking, hiking, fishing, climbing, and tons of other outdoor activities. Rose Creek: Sandwiched between the Sierra Ancha and Salome Wilderness areas, Rose Creek Campground is smack dab in the middle of some of Arizona's spectacular backcountry. Another scenic camping area, these sites are perfect for hikers or wildlife lovers. Nearby trails and complete immersion in the wilderness make this area a true "offline" destination. Temperatures can drop to the teens in the winter here, be sure to pack warm clothes. Distance from Globe: One hour.


Pioneer Pass: Just south of Globe near Pinal Peak this quaint campground offers some spectacular camping. Under the shade of the trees and among the nearby mountains, this is an amazing place to see wildlife, do some hiking, or relax in nature. Firepits are available at some sites and vaulted toilets are nearby. Fire grills and picnic tables make for easy meals. Simple camping with high rewards, these sites are awesome for a quick getaway.
