The Inaugural PinDrop® Summit: a Gathering of Stewards for a Long Camping Weekend in the Pines

Something different is happening this year, and it’s being built around our PinDrop® customers. Not a booth. Not a display. Not something to walk past, but something to be part of. During Overland Expo West weekend May 14-16, while the main grounds fill with crowds and polished builds, a group of PinDrop® Stewards will be setting up camp just outside it all: intentional, personal, and removed from the bustle.

Celebrate With Us: The PinDrop Summit.

This is the inaugural PinDrop Summit. A gathering of PinDroppers, also known as PinDrop® Stewards. It’s not a showcase of trailers, it’s a gathering of folks who have settled into the PinDrop® lifestyle. Every setup will be different. Every site reflects the preferences and small decisions that only come from time spent actually camping.

This long camping weekend is about celebrating our customers and their decision to choose the PinDrop® brand. Unhitched. Settled in. No rush to be anywhere else. Founders Ruth Ellen and Tim will be camped right alongside you, part of the circle, testing gear and features and enjoying the luxury that is PinDrop®

While this is a laid back gathering without an agenda, there are a few highlights planned for our customers:

The Canteen @ PinDrop

Hosted by a fellow Steward, the PinDrop® galley becomes a full service bar. Arizona wine, local beer, a few well-made cocktails, and the kind of exchange that only happens when everyone already shares a common thread.

Powered by PinDrop® Movie Nights at Dusk

At dusk, the camp gathers. A screen goes up between the pines, the fire rings come to life, and the evening settles in around it. Using a PinDrop® as the power source and surround sound, we'll project movies on the big screen.

Outdoor movie night with people seated in chairs, watching a film on a screen attached to a trailer. The scene is dimly lit.
Pop-up Movie Night Powered by PinDrop®

Movie Schedule:

Thursday: Raising Arizona, a Coen Brother's classic set in Arizona that follows a quirky couple's poor decisions in child-rearing

Friday: Apollo 13, suspenseful space flick honoring Flagstaff as the proving grounds for many astronauts

Saturday: The Long, Long Trailer, Lucy and Desi at their best, testing their relationship in an oversized travel trailer

Campfire Chat

Each evening at dusk we'll light up the night with a campfire. As a special treat we'll provide local Arizona-made marshmallows from Toasted Mallow and all the fixings to make s'mores.

Guided Hike with Stunning Views

On Sunday morning, for those who want to stretch their legs before heading out, Ruth Ellen and Tim will lead a hike above camp, out toward a vantage point overlooking Hart Prairie, with sweeping views of the San Francisco Peaks. A quiet close to the weekend, and a chance to take it in before heading home.

There’s no central hub. No signage. No map being passed around. The PinDrop Summit isn’t meant to feel like an extension of the Overland Expo West, it’s a celebration of our PinDrop® customers and those who actually camp.

Coordinates aren’t posted. They’re shared.
