Overland Expo PNW - Redmond, Oregon

The PinDrop® team recently wrapped up a 24-day journey that kicked off with a showcase at Overland Expo PNW in Redmond, Oregon. A great event for outdoor and off grid enthusiasts, Overland Expo proved to be a great place to connect with new customers, meet industry leaders, learn about other outdoor gear brands, and showcase PinDrop®.

From state parks and coastal escapes to mountain views and campground cooking, the team then took the opportunity for real-world product testing and an extended fully off grid camping adventure — and it confirmed again that PinDrop® Travel Trailers are built to thrive in the wild, untethered and free to roam.

🏕️ Trip Highlights

  • Overland Expo PNW: We were thrilled to kick off the trip showcasing our latest PinDrop® el Diablo model at this professional overlanding event. Visitors explored the innovative features and rugged styling that make PinDrop® stand out in a crowded field.

  • Galley Kitchen in Action: Over 60 meals were made for a family of four — right from the PinDrop® galley kitchen. From pasta and sandwiches to stir fry, seared fish, and mashed potatoes, the meals were as varied as the landscapes. The fully equipped prep station, bar counter, and spacious layout proved their worth over and over.

  • Oregon State Parks: Our deepest thanks go out to the Oregon State Parks system for their hospitality, pristine sites, and breathtaking natural surroundings. Each stop was clean, welcoming, and unforgettable.

  • Crater Lake National Monument: A bucket-list destination, we stopped to view the deepest lake in the United States, to take in the beauty of this natural wonder — a collapsed volcano — , to explore the park, and to enjoy lunch overlooking one of many awe-inspiring views.

  • Always With a View: One of our favorite moments each day? Cooking meals and sipping coffee while soaking in a different view each day — forested trails, ancient trees, coastal cliffs, quiet meadows, and sun-drenched lakeshores.

  • Work From the Road Without Worry: With exceptional electrical systems and solar power, the Pin Drop team charged lap tops, used charging stations, and wifi solely powered by the sun.

What Makes the PinDrop Perfect for This Kind of Trip?

PinDrop Travel Trailers are designed for real adventures. Every detail — from the kitchen layout to the off-grid systems — has been crafted with intention, and this trip put all of it to the test. Here’s what stood out:

  • 100% Solar Powered

We never plugged in. Solar panels (powered by Sunflare XPLOR) kept everything running — from the fridge and lights to charging devices — even on cloudy days.

  • R-15 Insulation Throughout

Warm at night, cool by day. The PinDrop’s full foam-core insulation meant comfort no matter the elevation or weather shift.

  • Configurations for Families and Friends

We used a family layout with a PinDrop and rooftop tent that comfortably fit four — yes, four! — including sleeping space and plenty of room for gear and food storage. PinDrop's also have encloseable awnings, 8'X8' fully enclosed rooms that can sleep additional people.

  • Award-Winning Design

As one of America’s Top 100 Small Businesses, we’re proud that our handcrafted trailers are recognized for innovation, quality, and design.

  • Nimble, Eco-Friendly Footprint

Built light, strong, and with low-impact materials, PinDrop® is perfect for travelers who value sustainability and flexibility.

  • Off-Road Capable, Campground Ready

From rocky forest service roads to pull-in state park sites, the PinDrop® handled it all — and turned heads wherever it went.

  • Nourish Your Adventure — With a View

At PinDrop®, we believe adventure is about more than the miles — it’s about how well you live along the way. Our kitchen system is proof. With generous prep space, thoughtful storage, and high-quality gear, we made mealtime part of the adventure.
